About us...

Gainsborough New Life Christian Fellowship is a member of Assemblies of God in Great Britain & Ireland.  We also relate to the Ground Level network of Churches.

We are Pentecostal (Charismatic) by conviction and doctrine. We believe in the traditional doctrines of The Church and that the gifts and power imparted to the disciples on the Day Of Pentecost are still available to the church today.

We believe that worship should reflect the life and joy that we have found in the Lord Jesus Christ. Consequently, much of our worship is energetic and vibrant but we also have our quieter and more reflective side. We also believe that the Church should have a relaxed family atmosphere, reflecting the fact that we are the family of God. True reverence is found in being and doing that which God has asked us to do. In seeking to do this, our aim is to be a loving and caring community that declares and attracts people to Jesus.

New Life ...

Declares that we have found New Life in Jesus. Jesus said "I have come that they might have life and might have it in all its fullness. We have found that life through our faith in The Lord Jesus Christ..

Christian...

Declares what we unashamedly are, Christian. People who have met with Jesus, who have invited Him to be our personal Saviour, and have committed ourselves to follow Him and the teachings of His Word.

Fellowship..

Jesus never called us to be Christians in isolation. He called us to be a loving family who share a common purpose in life, who face and overcome our problems through the love that He has put into our hearts. This loving fellowship is to be a demonstration to the community around us of Jesus' love for the world. Jesus said "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another".

Leadership Team ...

Paul McGuigan, Paul is lead pastor, he is married to Judy and they have four grown up children. Paul and Judy have led the New Life Gainsborough for over thirty years.

Pastor Brian Quar, Brian is married to Audrey, now retired from full time pastoral ministry they travel around encouraging and blessing many Churches

Andy Wilkinson, Andy is director of evangelism, he is married to Elaine, they have one child. Andy has a background as a director in the pharmaceutical industry.

The team has the main leadership responsibility for the Church and in particular the spiritual oversight and the development of vision.

Church Council, We also have a Church Council, which consists of the Pastors and Deacons and are custodians of the charity.
